Fabio M. Soccodato

Professor Soccodato was born in 1965. He graduated in Civil Engineering in 1991 and got his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering in 1996 at La Sapienza University of Rome.
Since 2006 he is Research Assistant and Lecturer in Geotechnics at the School of Engineering of the University of Cagliari (Italy).

His main scientific interests are the mechanical behaviour of soft and cemented clayey soils (including constitutive modelling), underground excavations and tunnelling in urban environment and seismic behaviour of retaining structures.
He is author and co-author of about 40 technical papers.

In DMS, Professor Soccodato managed the geotechnical aspects of many projects, gaining significant expertise and skill especially in the numerical modelling of tunnelling and large excavations in urban environments.
